Malta is an ideal location for multinationals seeking cost and tax-efficient jurisdictions within the European Union. The legal, regulatory and fiscal framework in Malta, the use of English as business language, its qualified work force including the professionals in the legal, tax and financial services fields, and the relatively low operating costs are some of the ingredients that have contributed to the Malta being ranked among the top financial centers.
We are excited to announce the opening of Vassiliades & Co. (Malta) Ltd in Floriana, Malta on 1st February 2014. This marks another step in a period of expansion for our law firm and we hope to grow even further and that through the Malta office, we will be able to accommodate more clients who wish to benefit from our professional and quality tailored advice.
The address of the new office is 17 Macerata Street, Floriana FRN 1080, Malta. The office is hence located at the heart of the city centre.

In recent times, Malta has become a highly sought after jurisdiction to third country investors, as it is the latest country to offer full citizenship through its new Citizenship-by-Investment programme.
The Maltese Government has recently amended its Citizenship programme to draw investors with the option of obtaining full citizenship (without residence permits), in exchange for a total investment of €1.150.000 (previously €650.000). This, among other important aspects of Malta, seems to be the cause of a rise in the country’s presence in the economic scene.
Malta also offers various favourable corporate tax schemes which when applied may permit a corporate structure to incur tax rates as low as 5%.
